If you follow me on social media, you know how much I love games. If you follow me anywhere, it’s probably also obvious fantasy is one of my favorite genres. My brain is also fried from how many words I’ve written for my latest fantasy series. So when I stumbled upon this tag game over on @WorldsUnlikeOurOwn, I had to jump in and play. This tag was created by Jo @ The Bookworm Dreamer.
One: Five-Star Book
It’s tricky to call this novel a traditional “fantasy” story, but I still fell in love with Morgenstern’s writing style and the characters she created. The magic is subtle, but the forbidden love story pulled at my heartstrings more than I expected. I loved The Starless Sea too, but this is still my favorite of her books.
Two: Always Going to Recommend
Kaz is still my #1 fantasy “book boyfriend.” If you’re a fan of anti-heroes and dark fantasy, Leigh Bardugo does not disappoint.
Three: Own it but Haven’t Read it
I grabbed this at a used book store, only to end up on my TBR pile 🙁 If you’ve already read it, no spoilers!
Four: Would Read Again
I fell in love with Jude and Cardan’s enemies-to-lovers arc. If I’m ever craving a little angst, I’ll definitely go back to this series.
Five: In Another World
This is one of the best debut fantasy novels I’ve read in a long time. I loved the worldbuilding and magic system, and the romance is balanced well with a thrilling plot.
Six: Back on Earth
I read this one ages ago, but I remember enjoying the series. Part forbidden paranormal romance, part action-packed urban fantasy, overall a great read!
I had a lot of fun with this tag! Which books would you pick? Did I miss any of your favorites? Consider this your “tag” to play!
